Reptile Study - 3D Creature Sculpting Breakdown

This project focuses on the organic development of a reptile, serving as an anatomy and texturing study. The main goal was to showcase a structured creature design workflow, documenting the progression from raw primary shapes to a high-fidelity final model.

Production Breakdown:

  • Blocking & Primary Shapes: Began with a clean digital block-out to establish the overall proportions, gesture, and anatomical silhouette of the creature.

  • High-Poly Detailing: Refined the secondary forms and sculpted organic details directly onto the high-poly mesh within ZBrush.

  • Polypaint & Final Composite: Hand-painted the skin patterns and color variations using Polypaint, finishing with subtle post-processing in Photoshop to enhance the atmosphere of the final beauty render.
